Full context
The official notice for the second week of the Trick or Bleed season came out on Oct 29. It brings two new Astral Blessings (Pomblaster and Gourmand Baker), an Extreme Challenge called Temple Ruins, three new Points Race stages and the Weekly Spotlight for Nov 3 to 10, led by Mister Hiss. Below is what the notice says and, kept apart, what the wiki worked out from the text.
THIS WEEK'S ASTRAL BLESSINGS
Astral Blessings give one Minion an extra ability for the whole season. They work in Ranked and Co-op, but not in Rumble Chess, Friendlies (Balanced Mode) or Extreme Challenges. The two from week one stay: Mister Hiss absorbs 15% of the other Minions' ATK on Ready, and Pumpkin King gets 1 Suncoin cheaper each time the Captain takes damage.
Details and source
Pomblaster: whenever he gains ATK SPD bonuses, his Magic charge also speeds up by 50% of that bonus. His Magic normally fires every 4 s and makes the next attack deal 100%/105%/110% area damage.
Wiki math: with +60% ATK SPD, the Magic charges 30% faster and fires every 3.1 s instead of 4 s. The catch is finding someone to give him speed. Bardcore Onion gives +4%/8%/16% to everyone, Pom Piper I only speeds up the first attacks, and Broc Presley only boosts whoever has the highest ATK, which Pomblaster almost never is. Wiki analysis: weakest Blessing of the week. It helps decks that already run Bardcore Onion and doesn't change where Pomblaster fits otherwise.
Gourmand Baker: on Ready, the bread also heals the Captain for 3/6/12 HP.
Wiki math: there's a combo here. Jack-o'-Licks I costs 6%/5%/4% of the Captain's max HP each Ready and fails if that would kill the Captain. At 150 HP, a 1★ Jack-o'-Licks I costs 9 HP per round and a 3★ Baker gives back 12. So one 3★ Baker pays for a Jack-o'-Licks I on its own, with HP to spare. Add the Oct 27 patch, which makes the bread go to a random Minion when the field is full, and the Baker no longer wastes its turn late in the game.
Wiki analysis: this is the Blessing that changes decks this week. It works against the stay-low-on-purpose plan (Pumpkin King, Headless Jack), since it heals what those decks want to lose. It fits players who run Jack-o'-Licks I or Greenkeeper II as an engine and need HP to keep paying.
EXTREME CHALLENGE: TEMPLE RUINS
The temple's magic randomly transforms your 1★ Minions, and each round demands an offering of Power. Fall short and the run ends.
Details and source
Wiki analysis: the effect only hits 1★ Minions, so promoting early keeps you safe. Fast-merge decks with cheap cost-3 copies suffer less than decks waiting for a cost-8 to show up. Get your carry to 2★ in the first rounds and don't leave a key piece sitting at 1★ at the end of a round. Astral Blessings don't apply here.
POINTS RACE: THREE NEW STAGES
- Cap'n Beetlejuice, "Conflux": any Minion merges with any other and, on promotion, turns into a random Minion from your deck. On Ready, if you have duplicates on the field, all Minions lose 75% ATK for the round. Wiki analysis: run 9 different cards and merge right away, never keep a copy on the field. It's a stage for Shamaness, who gives her bigger bonus with no copies, and Mangotello, who speeds up per unique Minion. Both are on this week's Spotlight.
- Queen Wasp, "Starfall": on Ready, your highest-ATK Minion is removed and every other Minion gains 15% of its ATK. Wiki math: with 8 Minions left, that spreads 120% of the carry's ATK, but the carry leaves the field every round. One-carry decks lose their main piece every time. Decks that spread ATK, like summoners and Glowkeeper, lose much less.
- Golden Beetle, "Inflation": selling lowers every Minion's price by 1; buying raises that type's price by 2, plus 1 for each extra purchase that round; prices reset at round start. Wiki analysis: sell before you buy and mix types. Three copies of the same card in one round gets expensive fast.
WEEKLY SPOTLIGHT (NOV 3 TO 10)
Details and source
Mister Hiss (new), Violet Magus, Mangotello, Pomblaster, Shamaness and Tomato Twister get a higher recruit rate. Wiki analysis: if you're spending, Hiss is the only one this week's Blessing moves up a tier. Shamaness and Mangotello are worth more this week because of the Conflux stage.
THE RECOMMENDED LINEUP: HISS, CHILI CHEF AND GRAPE GATSBY
The devs posted a lineup built around Mister Hiss: Chili Chef and Grape Gatsby buff Minions in the Shop, and Hiss' Corrosion wears the opponent down. Corrosion deals 20%/27%/40% of Hiss' ATK every 2.6 s to each enemy that enters, so every point of ATK the Shop gives him becomes damage on everyone.
Details and source
Wiki math: this season, what makes this lineup grow is Hiss' Blessing. With 8 other Minions at 100 ATK, he absorbs 120 ATK on each Ready. With a 3★ Hiss, every extra 100 ATK becomes 40 damage every 2.6 s on each enemy that enters. Chili Chef and Grape Gatsby help from the other side: Minions arrive bigger when you buy them, and the Blessing pulls 15% of that into Hiss. The notice doesn't say whether the other Minions lose what he absorbs; "absorbs" suggests they do, in which case the team trades direct damage for Corrosion.
Wiki analysis: the deck builder's simulator doesn't have Astral Blessings yet, and without the Blessing the pilot barely buys Hiss in this deck. That's why we're not scoring this lineup right now: the number would come out low because the piece that makes it work is missing. Our read is that it pays off in Ranked and Co-op, where the Blessing applies, and drops off a lot in Rumble Chess and Extreme Challenges, where it doesn't.
ACE PLAN IS POSTPONED
- Using an Extreme Challenge Ticket after the 3 free daily attempts can block your progress. If it happens, exit the game, wait 2 minutes and log back in. Until the fix, the devs ask players not to keep going after the free attempts.
- Rookie Quests of the "obtain X Minions" kind don't advance.
- Matchmaking can pair players with a big Power gap.
Details and source
The Ace Plan event won't launch this season. On Oct 27 the devs said they're fine-tuning it after player feedback. Three known issues are still open, with no fix date:
