Gourmand Baker
Gourmand Baker is a cost 5 card in Plants on Fire. Rarity: Epic.
- Ready: Spawns bread on an empty tile. Increases the taker's ATK by 3/6/12/36. If the field is full, throws the bread to a random Minion.
- Ready
- Effect triggers when both players are ready
In practice
Gourmand Baker places a loaf of bread on an empty tile every Ready. Whoever collects it gains +3/6/12 ATK (36 at 4★), and you choose the target. Since the Oct 27 patch, a full field sends the bread to a random Minion, so the Baker never wastes its turn. ATK 6, 2.5 s interval. It works well with carries like Pop Gunner, Apple Sheriff and Guaca Sage. Tier C in PvP.

How star fusion works
2 copies at the same ★ merge into 1 copy at the next ★. 4★ only exists in Rumble Chess. In regular Co-op, your partner's Minions get a blue star and don't merge with yours. How it works
- ATK: +3/6/12 (1★/2★/3★), permanent.
Read from the game's official data. Numbers are for card level 1, for 1★/2★/3★ when three values are shown.
Card analysis

Strengths
- Works as Amplifier in a deck.
Weaknesses
- The cap comes from the board: it depends on empty tiles around it.
- It sits in tier C for PvP, according to the community tier list.

- You can afford 2 copy(ies) (2★) by R1.
- You can afford 4 copy(ies) (3★) by R2.

Works well with
Pairs the community and I find good together. The notes come from my own research and player guides (written in English).
Same recommendation, Gourmand Baker buffing Pop Gunner.
Same recommendation, Gourmand Baker buffing Apple Sheriff.
"amplifies whatever buff it receives," naming Gourmand Baker, and Gourmand Baker's own note confirms "you choose the target" of the Bread, so you can aim it at Guaca Sage on purpose.
Same recommendation, Gourmand Baker buffing Shroomurai.
Named by the site owner and checked against the official text: this card gives ATK to Ninja Mango (or helps find it in the Shop), and Ninja Mango multiplies that ATK by the attack speed it gains per unique Minion.
What the community says
CSituational
Solid C: gives as much ATK as Azure Astrologer without locking the Shop, but needs an empty tile for its bread.
