Jack-o'-LicksCost 3 Β·
Without it the score barely changes

Deploy: Gains ATK +2-6, but the Captain loses 5% of maximum HP (skill fails if this would kill the Captain).

  • Main piece (β˜…): the plan revolves around it.
  • Works together with: Boom Shroom, Headless Jack.
  • Community tier list, April video (D): A combo piece: drains your Commander's HP so another card shines (Headless Jack). On its own it doesn't make a deck.

Don't have it? Use Turnipette (score +5.0)

Can be obtained from Harvest Pots, Recruitment, and the U-Pick Farm.

Boom ShroomCost 3 Β·
Without it the score drops 5.0

Attacks all enemies to deal 40%/40%/40%/80% damage. The Captain loses 4% of Max HP. Only the front-most enemy will be attacked if the Captain is below 4% HP.

  • Main piece (β˜…): the plan revolves around it.
  • Part of the plan: Headless Jack (low HP).
  • Works together with: Jack-o'-Licks, Headless Jack.
  • Community tier list, April video (C): Useful in one deck only: drains your Commander's HP so Headless Jack hits harder. Not the best shop purchase.

Don't have it? Use Turnipette (score 0.0)

Can be obtained from Harvest Pots, Recruitment, and the U-Pick Farm.

Without it the score barely changes

Ready: Grants 1 random other Minions ATK +1/2/4/10. Also heals the Captain for 2/4/8/20 HP.

  • Community tier list, April video (D): Gives ATK and heals the Commander, good only very early. In the late game it barely matters.

Don't have it? Use Sharp Sentry (score +5.0)

Without it the score drops 24.0

Aura: This Minion gains ATK +5/10/20/60 for every 10% HP the Captain is missing.

  • Main piece (β˜…): the plan revolves around it.
  • Core piece of the plan: Headless Jack (low HP).
  • Works together with: Jack-o'-Licks, Boom Shroom.
  • Community tier list, April video (A): Dropped from S to A after a nerf. Gains ATK as the Commander loses HP and is very hard to counter. Low HP deck with Jack-o'-Licks and Boom Shroom.

Don't have it? Use Violet Magus (score -10.0)

Can be obtained from Harvest Pots, Recruitment, and the U-Pick Farm.

DandeLionCost 5
Without it the score barely changes

Ready: Temp reduces the ATK of all enemy Minions by 2/4/8/20.

  • Community tier list, April video (D): Lowers enemy ATK only a little and needs 3β˜… on a cost 5. The weakest card in PvP.

Don't have it? Use Bombercarrot (score 0.0)

Can be obtained from Harvest Pots, Recruitment, and the U-Pick Farm.

Without it the score barely changes

Ready: Steals 5%/9%/16%/32% ATK from the enemy Minion with the highest ATK (steals no less than 1/2/4/12 ATK).

  • Community tier list, April video (A): Steals ATK from the strongest enemy and never gives it back. Very annoying against single-carry decks (Tomato Twister, Orange Bros, Chomper, Muscle Melon). Underrated.

Don't have it? Use Peanut Page (score 0.0)

Can be obtained from Harvest Pots, Recruitment, and the U-Pick Farm.

Without it the score barely changes

Ready: Temp demotes 1/2/4 enemy Minions by -1/1/1/3β˜….

  • Community tier list, April video (B): Demotes enemy stars and lowers speed and damage. Very annoying against Tomato Twister (stops it from growing), but not a win condition.

Don't have it? Use Pumpkin King (score +5.0)

Obtained from the Power Track.

ValkyrisCost 8
Without it the score barely changes

Ready: If the enemy's total ATK is higher than yours, this Minion Temp gains 45%/70%/100%/200% of the total ATK difference.

  • Tier list (B, the wiki's rating): Ready: if the enemy's total ATK is higher than yours, it gains Temp ATK equal to 45%/70%/100% of the difference. It's the comeback card: the further behind you are, the harder it hits. When you're ahead it does nothing, and its attack is slow (3.2 s). In the deck builder, it shows up in several of the top Summon decks.

Don't have it? Use Alchemush (score -5.0)

Can be obtained from Harvest Pots, Recruitment, and the U-Pick Farm.

Without it the score barely changes

Increases this Minion's ATK by 2/4/8/32 whenever an enemy is defeated.

  • Community tier list, April video (S): Gains ATK for every enemy defeated and snowballs fast; the opponent can't do much about it. Fits almost every deck (except Orange Bros). The strongest single card in the game.

Don't have it? Use Pumpkin King (score +9.0)

Can be obtained from Harvest Pots, Recruitment, and the U-Pick Farm.

How to play the match

Lose HP on purpose in the first rounds (skip buying, take the 2-interest option). Boom Shroom clears the board and feeds Tomato Twister; Greenkeeper and the Plantener Emblem keep your HP up.

Questions

Which card should I level first?

Headless Jack: taking it to level 10 raises the score by 19.0, more than any other card in the deck.

Can I play it without spending money?

Yes: no card in the deck is from the paid Battle Pass.

Is it worth chasing a Variant?

The best is Jack-o'-Licks I instead of Jack-o'-Licks: +5.0 score. Variants come from Rumble Chess and Variant Recruit (unlocked at 700 Trophies).

What if I don't have Headless Jack?

Use Violet Magus instead (score -10.0). It's the card that matters most: without it the score drops 24.0.

The strongest free-to-play deck according to the community: loses HP on purpose early to power up Headless Jack. No card comes from the paid Battle Pass.

Deck builder scores at level 8 (1,000 to 2,199 Trophies), from simulated matches that run until a Captain dies, as in the game. Opponents: 150 random decks and the 6 meta decks the builder generated itself. The fight was calibrated on Oct 10 with my own real matches.
