Jack-o'-Licks
Jack-o'-Licks is a cost 3 card in Plants on Fire. Rarity: Epic.
- Deploy: Gains ATK +2-6, but the Captain loses 5% of maximum HP (skill fails if this would kill the Captain).
- Deploy
- Purchase a Minion and place it in an empty tile to gain its effects
In practice
Jack-o'-Licks trades health for ATK: when deployed it gains +2 to +6 ATK and your Commander loses 5% of max HP. If that cost would kill the Commander, the ability fails and nothing happens. Each copy gives the full effect, so it works as a one-off boost early in the match, while the HP loss is still cheap. The community ranks it tier D in PvP. It unlocks at 2400 trophies.

How star fusion works
2 copies at the same ★ merge into 1 copy at the next ★. 4★ only exists in Rumble Chess. In regular Co-op, your partner's Minions get a blue star and don't merge with yours.Card analysis

Works well with
Pairs the community and I find good together. The notes come from my own research and player guides (written in English).
Jack-o'-Licks also costs the Commander's max HP on deploy, and the guide names Greenkeeper as the heal that sustains this kind of card.
Jack-o'-Licks costs the Commander's max HP on deploy, and it's exactly that missing HP that increases Headless Jack's ATK.
Named by the site owner and checked against the official text: one card makes your Commander lose HP and the other gets stronger from it (ATK per missing HP, or damage to all enemies when the Commander takes damage).

What the community says
DBarely usable in PvP today
A combo piece: drains your Commander's HP so another card shines (Headless Jack). On its own it doesn't make a deck.

Variants
A base card and its Variants (I, II, III) can't be in the same deck. Variants inherit the base card's level. Get them in the Variant Recruit with Sprout Coins.
