Boss Challenge: Pop Gunner and Muscle Melon
For the Boss Challenge event, where one Giant Boss stays for 9 rounds. Single-target damage breaks its Shield Bar each round, with buffs around your main hitters.
The Giant Boss stays for 9 rounds. Break its Shield Bar and it doesn't attack that round; if the Shield holds, it hits hard. Emptying its HP bar makes it enraged: more dangerous, and worth more Points. If you fall before the last round, the challenge ends and you lose a lot of Points. Pop Gunner, Pomblaster, Lady Tulip and Muscle Melon (200% damage to Bosses) do the damage. Put your main hitter 1 tile above Cheerbloom and next to Leeky Beats so both auras reach it. Gourmand Baker's bread and Floral Friar add more ATK, and Greenkeeper heals your Captain on rounds when the Shield doesn't break. Swaps: Azure Astrologer for Gourmand Baker, Alchemush for Floral Friar.
- Pop Gunner: Main piece (★): the plan revolves around it. Community tier list, April video (S): S with the slow Variant. Without it (A), its burst still breaks the snail Boss's shields and wins games on that Boss.
- Cheerbloom: Community tier list, April video (A): With the Variant the bonus turns permanent on Ready and stays even if you sell Cheerbloom. Part of the Orange Bros deck. Without it, low B.
- Greenkeeper: Community tier list, April video (D): Gives ATK and heals the Commander, good only very early. In the late game it barely matters.
- Pomblaster: Main piece (★): the plan revolves around it. Community tier list, April video (C): Solid C: strong area shots, but needs slows so the wave walks slowly. Against fast-clearing decks it loses power.
- Leeky Beats: Community tier list, April video (C): An ATK aura for neighbors, good early, but it works alone and no deck revolves around it. The Variant is more interesting.
- Gourmand Baker: Community tier list, April video (C): Solid C: gives as much ATK as Azure Astrologer without locking the Shop, but needs an empty tile for its bread.
- Muscle Melon: Main piece (★): the plan revolves around it. Community tier list, April video (B): Its power is the Variant, which makes it gain ATK. A in a good Blessing week, B otherwise.
- Lady Tulip: Core piece of the plan: Spending economy: Lady Tulip. Community tier list, April video (B): Win condition of the spend-Sun deck, with pressure in rounds 7 to 9. Without the Variant the buff is huge but temporary; with it, smaller and permanent. Swings a lot with the weekly Blessing.
- Floral Friar: Community tier list, April video (B): Triggers on promotions (pairs with Princeling) and its Variant buffs 3★ Minions: good in the Kraut deck and with Chomper's summons.
