Berrinetta
Berrinetta is a cost 5 card in Plants on Fire. Rarity: Epic.
- Attacks enemies in a small area, dealing 25%/25%/25%/100% damage and slowing them by 25%/40%/60%/60% for 3 sec.
In practice
Berrinetta hits a small area for 25% damage (100% at 4★) and applies a 25%/40%/60% slow for 3 s. The slow holds Swift Snail on the field longer, and bunches enemies up so area damage hits more targets. The builder reads her as early defense, control and Boss answer. ATK 9, 3 s interval. Tier B in PvP.

How star fusion works
2 copies at the same ★ merge into 1 copy at the next ★. 4★ only exists in Rumble Chess. In regular Co-op, your partner's Minions get a blue star and don't merge with yours. How it works
- Triggers: when the fight starts; at the start of each round, with the shop open.
- Who it affects: the enemies within range.
Read from the game's official data. Numbers are for card level 1, for 1★/2★/3★ when three values are shown.
Card analysis
What this card does inside a deck, from the deck builder's data. It is the same reading the simulator uses to score decks.
Strengths
- Works as Early defense, Control and Boss answer in a deck.
- Each copy delivers the full effect. Merge only if you run out of tiles or in the round before a Boss.
Role in the deck
What it plays with
- Feeds Area damage and Enemy slow to the engine.
Copies and merging
Each copy delivers the full effect. Merge only if you run out of tiles or in the round before a Boss.
Card data checked against game version 2.0.1021.0.
Rounds: when you can get it
Worked out from the official shop and Sun rules, for players in the 1000–1599 trophy range. It assumes you spend all your Sun on this card, which almost never happens in a real match.
- You can afford 1 copy(ies) (1★) by R1.
- You can afford 2 copy(ies) (2★) by R1.
- You can afford 4 copy(ies) (3★) by R2.
- Chance of showing up at least once in a 3-card shop: R1 66%, R2 69%, R3 71%, R4 74%, R5 76%, R6 78%.
Works well with
Pairs the community and I find good together. The notes come from my own research and player guides (written in English).
Berrinetta's slow keeps Swift Slug on the field longer, giving Pop Gunner (multi-hit) more time to pop its Shields before it reaches the Commander.
Berrinetta is named as a good Cost-5 partner for Tomato Twister, Slow plus small-area damage weakens the front line.
Berrinetta's Slow makes front enemies bunch up with the ones behind them, so Pomblaster's AoE hits them all at once.
Wiki deduction from the official text: Both weaken the enemy (reduce or steal ATK, demote ★, slow them while the other hits whoever enters).
Measured by the wiki's simulation: the two cards do better together than each one alone (test in 3 neutral decks).
What the community says
BUsable, has a deck
Slows enemies entering the field. Lots of players run it and it decides close games.

Variants
A base card and its Variants (I, II, III) can't be in the same deck. Variants inherit the base card's level. Get them in the Variant Recruit with Sprout Coins.
Builds using this card
Control and Stall
Drags the match out to win on the clock. Rosen Death and Leafy Trap buy time while your HP holds.
Anti-Boss (Adventure)
For Adventure Mode. Breaks Shields and piles bonus damage on Bosses.
Community deck: Tomato Twister with Variants
A player's Discord deck built for early pressure, with Variants on most cards and the Candlemancer Badge: two Guaca Sage I at about 20 ATK each on turn 1, while Pop Gunner and Apple Sheriff clear the wave.
Pomblaster deck (official guide)
Official guide with Pomblaster as the main attacker: Berrinetta holds enemies in place so its area damage hits more of them.
Turnipette + Guaca Sage (Japanese guide)
A climbing deck from a Japanese guide: Turnipette grows on its own and holds the early game, and Guaca Sage, frozen in the Shop, gets ATK from Azure Astrologer and comes in strong.
Frozen Guaca Sage + Tomato Twister (JitteryKennon)
A slower deck. Azure Astrologer buffs a frozen Guaca Sage in the Shop every round, and Tomato Twister deals the damage with Berrinetta's help.
Pomblaster + Berrinetta (JitteryKennon)
Simple plan: Pomblaster and Berrinetta handle the front line, and Peanut Page keeps Pomblaster growing.
Lychee Babe + Leeky Beats I (JitteryKennon)
Stacks auras on one tile and puts Lychee Babe there: when she transforms, she keeps the ATK and bonuses she had.
Tomato Twister + Prof. Nutter (JitteryKennon)
Pomblaster, Guaca Sage and Pine Gangster hold the front and help Tomato Twister grow, while Prof. Nutter turns promotions into ATK.
