≈Score is close: the simulator estimates one detail of Chuckleberry. See why
Chuckleberry: the simulator uses the clones mostly as bodies. Players buy it last, with a full board and buffed in the Shop, and the simulator doesn't do that yet.
Attacks 6/7/8/15 enemies at once, dealing 40% damage.
Community tier list, April video (S): With Variant II it attacks again on every kill and clears the wave alone. Without it (A): good early damage, hits many enemies, breaks shields.
Community tier list, April video (B): Comfortable early game: gains ATK by itself every Ready. Doesn't carry the late game against Tomato Twister, Orange Bros or Headless Jack.
Magic (4 sec): Launches 1/3/6/12 magic missiles at random enemies, dealing 50%/60%/70% of ATK as damage.
Launches 1/1/1/3 extra missiles for each Minion with the same ★ rank as this Minion on the field.
Main piece (★): the plan revolves around it.
Tier list (B, the wiki's rating): Doesn't attack: every 4 s it fires 1/3/6 missiles at random enemies, each dealing 50% of its ATK, plus 1 missile per Minion of yours with the same ★. The many hits break Shields (good against the snail Boss). It doesn't grow on its own and, per the community, doesn't get Bardcore Onion's speed. Since version 2.0.1021 it comes from Harvest Pots.
Don't have it? Use Leafy Trap (score +5.0)
Can be obtained from Harvest Pots, Recruitment, and the U-Pick Farm.
This Minion gains 1/2/4/12 Research when another Minion is promoted.
Ready: 200% of this Minion's Research is Temp distributed evenly to all other Minions in the same column as ATK.
Main piece (★): the plan revolves around it.
Tier list (B, the wiki's rating): Collects Research on every promotion of another Minion and, on Ready, spreads double that as Temp ATK among the Minions in its column. A Promotion deck piece (with Princeling and Dr. Kraut); outside it, it does almost nothing. TreyEx puts it in S; here it's B, like the other pieces that only work in one deck.
Don't have it? Use Gourmand Baker (score +19.0)
Can be obtained from Harvest Pots, Recruitment, and the U-Pick Farm.
Community tier list, April video (C): Buy it, give instant ATK to the Minion you pick, sell it. With lots of Sun to cycle it adds up (seen in Orange Bros). Don't ignore it.
Don't have it? Use Azure Astrologer (score +14.0)
Can be obtained from Harvest Pots, Recruitment, and the U-Pick Farm.
Ready: Increases the ATK of other Minions by +2/4/8/32 (only 1 of each duplicate).
Instead grants ATK +4/8/16/64 if there are no duplicates on the field.
Core piece of the plan: Shamaness (buffs the whole board, unique cards).
Community tier list, April video (A): Buffs the whole board every round, doubled with no repeated copies on the board. An easy A by usage; ranked behind the attackers because it's a support.
Don't have it? Use Pumpkin King (score +9.0)
Can be obtained from Harvest Pots, Recruitment, and the U-Pick Farm.
Ready: Increases the ATK of Minions in the Shop by +2/4/8/32–3/6/12/48.
Tier list (A, the wiki's rating): Ready: Shop Minions gain ATK, and the bonus stays on them and stacks round after round. Everything you buy later arrives stronger. The official news video (Sep 29) says to use it with Chuckleberry. Other lists put it at the top (elpisoul SS, TreyEx S); in the deck builder it scores lower, so the A comes from the mechanic and those lists.
Don't have it? Use Tree of Light (score +5.0)
Can be obtained from Harvest Pots, Recruitment, and the U-Pick Farm.
Deploy: Creates 3 clones of this Minion. For each summon, if there are no empty tiles, grants 1 Minion part of Chuckleberry's ATK instead.
Tier list (S, the wiki's rating): Deploy: creates 3 clones of itself. Each clone that doesn't fit becomes ATK on another of your Minions (100% of its ATK from level 9). On a full board it's the biggest buff from one purchase: in my math it beats Gourmand Baker at every level, and it's top 3 among cost 8 cards in the deck builder's simulated tier.
Don't have it? Use Tomato Twister (score +5.0)
Obtained by purchasing the Battle Pass.
How to play the match
Engine: Violet Magus (main damage), Prof. Nutter, Hogsteen and Math Melon. Prof. Nutter's Research turns into ATK for the Magus, Hogsteen's hogs keep her missile count steady, and Math Melon goes on the Magus. DPS Kit: the Magus, Apple Sheriff (softens front units), Turnipette (holds the front) and Hogsteen, whose hogs attack every 2 s against the Magus's 4 s. Support: Shamaness, Chili Chef, Chuckleberry, Prof. Nutter and Math Melon. Match Hogsteen's ★ to the Magus's and only promote the Magus or the field if it gains missiles or loses just 1. Shamaness needs a field with no duplicates, and that includes the hogs and a second Shamaness.

Questions
Which card should I level first?
Violet Magus: taking it to level 10 raises the score by 24.0, more than any other card in the deck.
Can I play it without spending money?
Yes, with the Starter version (score 48, beats 89% of random decks).
Is it worth chasing a Variant?
The best is Apple Sheriff II instead of Apple Sheriff: +9.0 score. Variants come from Rumble Chess and Variant Recruit (unlocked at 700 Trophies).
What if I don't have Apple Sheriff?
Use Seed Peon instead (score +9.0). It's the card that matters most: without it the score drops 5.0.

Deck by JitteryKennon (a player around 3,300 trophies) on the official Discord, #deck-building channel, Oct 5, 2026, with his explanation. I have not played this deck in a match yet; the score comes from the deck builder's simulator.
Deck builder scores at level 8 (1,000 to 2,199 Trophies), from simulated matches that run until a Captain dies, as in the game. Opponents: 150 random decks and the 6 meta decks the builder generated itself. The fight was calibrated on Oct 10 with my own real matches.
Oct 06, 2026: guide rebuilt in the new format (versions, round by round, leveling order, Variants and matchups), with the recalibrated deck builder and APK 2.0.1021 numbers.
