Sell, freeze and refresh: when it pays off

Selling, freezing and refreshing all move your Suncoins. What each one costs or returns, and when to use it:

Selling

officialMost Minions only return a small portion of Suncoins based on their ★ rank when sold. To sell, drag the Minion from the field to the shop.

confirmedChecked in game. A cost 3 at 3★ costs 12 Suncoins (4 copies) and returns 4, so only sell when the tile is worth more than the Minion.

When selling pays off

• Math Melon, Alchemush and Joe Tycoon: give ATK on Deploy, then do nothing. Use them on your attacker and sell to free the tile.
• Coco Coinhog: raises its own sell price every round (1/2/4 per ★). Per the official guide, it pays for itself in 3 rounds and is usually worth holding longer.
• Princeling at 3★ without the demotion ability: sell it (official Promotion guide).
• A cheap early card on a full late-game board: sell it to make room for a cost 8.

Freezing

officialDragging a card in the Shop downward freezes it, keeping it unchanged while the Shop refreshes.

officialThe Shop automatically refreshes at the start of each round.

• Out of Suncoins for the card you want? Freeze it and buy it next round.
• Azure Astrologer: when Ready, gives ATK to a frozen Shop Minion (or to itself if there's none). Community guides freeze an attacker and buy it already buffed.

Refreshing the shop

confirmedRefreshing costs 1 Suncoin and swaps the 3 shop cards (except frozen ones).

• Refreshing for the 2nd copy of a cost 3 or 5 is usually worth it: merging is the best way to raise ATK (official tip).
• Hunting one specific cost 8 by refreshing is expensive. See the shop odds.
• Spudchant gives 1 free refresh when bought.
